In nomine Patris

Father Luca is a catholic priest in a near-future world that is spinning into apocalypse. His story will be mostly about his faith and losing it and rediscovering it, his relationship with god and the world.

Medium length hair of chestnut brown, dark eyes and a well groomed beard. He's thin and fine featured, delicate even, standing at a 172 cm, not exactly a staggering height but quite enough for him.

He wears black robes whenever in public. Otherwise he might default to something really simple. He smiles a lot and is prone to shoulder claps and hand holding. It takes quite a bit to anger him and even when he's angry, it's unlikely to see him looking like he's mad.

Religious practice, gardening, cooking, crafts. Detailed hand print work/calligraphy. Church history. Languages like Latin, Hebrew, Creek, Italy along with English, etc. He can perform an exorcism once he realises what's actually going on in the world. His faith will protect him against the demons to a measure.

Luca was born 2018 in Italy. His faith took him naturally to Vatican as a young man and into priesthood that seemed like what he was always meant to do. He never really rebelled against his faith and the religious practice in his life. He's a devouted servant of god.

He was in Vatican during the massacre. It was the first time he had much of contact with the outside world, Vatican having closed its borders from anyone years ago. The bloodshed was traumatising but not exactly life changing for him. If anything, his faith became stronger under the hardship.

In the post-massacre Vatican, they need more servants of god. Many a young priest is sent out to take the word of God to the cities that have fallen into the realm of the devil, bring the message to the leaders of people especially. Father Luca is very eager to take on this mission.

It will take him through quite a bit of turmoil, however.
